SMOKED PRIME RIB

Smoked Prime Rib

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6.75lb. prime rib of beef 

  • 2 tbsp beef base

  • 3 tbsp Ben's Heffer Dust

  • 1 tbsp thyme, chopped

  • 1 tbsp rosemary, chopped

  • 1 tbsp sage, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat recteq to 300°F.

  2. Trim any loose fat or meat from the rib roast.  

  3. Rub the beef base all over the roast, then season with Ben's Heffer Dust and fresh herbs.  

  4. Smoke the roast to an internal temp. of 130°F (2-2.5 hours).

  5. Allow the roast to rest for 20-30 minutes prior to slicing.
